Oliver Gajda
Biography
Oliver has advised boards and worked with management teams in start-up, restructuring and buyout situations. He has some 15 years editorial and management experience in the business information and services industries as well as the non-for-profit sector. Since 2000 he has focused on venture capital, private equity and microfinance.
Oliver is Director of Services at Aflatoun, Amsterdam, the worlds leading network for child social and financial education. Prior to this he run his own strategy consulting business. In this capacity he worked closely with a number of international organisations including Europe Unlimited SA, Brussels, where he was a member of the Board of Directors and acted as interim COO following a management buyout, and the Microfinance Information Exchange, Inc. in Washington, DC. Previously he worked, among others, at the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA), Brussels, where he was a member of the association's Tax & Legal Committee, and Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, London.
Oliver holds Masters degrees from Solvay Business School (Université Libre de Bruxelles) in business administration and microfinance and from the University of Hamburg in History. He also studied Russian at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (University College London). Oliver is married and has a wonderful baby daughter.
