Duane Shulthess
Biography
Duane Schulthess is the Commercial Director of Science|Business Media, an organization bringing together research, industry and policy. Until 2008, he was the EMEA Head of Corporate Development for The Wall Street Journal Europe.
For 11 years, Mr. Schulthess was the Executive Director of the US based not for profit corporation ICE with whom he toured the globe to critical and public acclaim. Called "One of the country's leading advocates of the new" by the Dallas Morning News, ICE was dedicated to combining ground-breaking technologies with music and performance. Duane was twice recognized as a finalist for Artist of the Year by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Duane was a fellowship student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, has a BA Magna Cum Laude in Music with a minor in Economics from the University of the Pacific, and has an MBA with Distinction from The Vlerick Leuven Gent School of Management where he is a contributing member of the steering committee. Originally from Orange County, California, he makes his home in Brussels with his wife who is a Belgian national and their newborn son.
