Call for Papers: Railway Engineering Delft University of Technoloy
Tuesday, 25 May 2010 | University News
The railway system is an essential mode of transportation for both passengers and freight. Although it is regarded as one of the most environmental-friendly modes of transport, railways have a huge environmental impact. Especially in densely populated areas the mutual relationship between railway system and environment is complex in its many aspects, and challenging from the design point of view. Along with current research and developments as well as the expansion of high-speed rail and intermodal competitiveness, Delft University of Technology and Europoint organise the international scientific conference ‘Railways and Environment’ on 16 December 2010 in Delft, the Netherlands
